V2 Whiteboard

What is it?

You've asked for it so we're bringing it to you, a sparkplug that brings peer-to-peer whiteboarding to Jive's Spark client. Currently, V2 Whiteboard supports a number of very cool features including:

  • A dozen different drawing tools
  • Background images
  • Text insertion
  • Shape transparency
  • Printing
  • Plus many more...

Who needs it?

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, so wouldn't it be great if you could sketch out how your computer network looks (or is suppose to look) instead of trying to describe it. Or, what if you wanted to collaborate with a co-worker on the UI design of your next great piece of software. Well, with V2 Whiteboard you can!

Why are we developing it?

The project started a few months back when we started thinking about what it would take to add a whiteboard to Spark. After a couple of hours we were drawing and sending lines back and forth, a little while latter it was rectangles, then ellipses and it just kind of grew from there. We thought this was such a cool tool that we should share it with as many people as we could.

When will it be ready?

Good question! While we feel good about where V2 Whiteboard stands now we know there are a lot of features that can be added to make it an invaluable collaboration tool, but the question is, what features do people most want to see? That's were you all come in. We're anxious to hear your feedback.
